29/09/2010: Successful Factory Acceptance Test of the First MASS Unit

A factory acceptance test was performed on the first MASS unit last week under Rheinmetall Waffe Munition's supervision. DND’s project manager was pleased with the results and is very optimistic about the remainder of the project. This first unit will be delivered this week to the Canadian Forces Fleet School in Halifax , Nova Scotia.

The assembly of two other units is already completed and Rheinmetall Canada will soon perform the FAT on those systems. They will then be installed on the Frigates HMCS Halifax and HMCS Montréal.
