16/02/2011: MESO Contract Award

Rheinmetall Canada and Rheinmetall Defence Electronics have been selected to provide the Canadian Navy’s new Marine Engineering System Operator (MESO) trainer for the KINGSTON Class Maritime Coastal Defence Vessels (MCDV). The MESO trainer will significantly enhance the Navy’s ability to train engineering personnel, which is a critical factor in vessel operational availability.

The MESO project will include the delivery of a full mission trainer and a multi-task trainer classroom to be installed at the Canadian Forces Fleet School in Quebec City. These systems will be networked with individual multi-task trainer stations to be installed at each of the 24 Naval Reserve divisions across Canada. The project value is $3.26M.
